Our recent trip to the Science Museum was nothing short of spectacular!

Students and staff alike were immersed in a world of innovation, exploration, and learning. Here’s a detailed look at our adventure: Our journey began in the Making the Modern World Gallery, where we were transported through time to witness the incredible innovations that have shaped our modern world. From the earliest steam engines to the latest in digital technology, students were fascinated by the exhibits that showcased human ingenuity and progress. The gallery provided a perfect blend of history and science, sparking curiosity and discussions among our young explorers. Next, we powered up our excitement in the Power Up exhibit. This interactive section of the museum is dedicated to the history and future of gaming. Students had the opportunity to play classic video games and learn about the technological advancements that have transformed the gaming industry. The hands-on experience was a hit, with everyone enjoying the chance to engage with both retro and modern games. • Promoting Safety on Public Transport

    Published 13/09/24

On Tuesday, 10th September, students had the privilege of attending an insightful assembly conducted by the British Transport Police. The session focused on empowering students with essential strategies to ensure their safety and make positive choices while using public transport. The assembly was led by PC Mark and our dedicated Safer Schools Officer, PC Frampton, who shared valuable tips and advice. Here are the key strategies discussed:

    1. Stay Alert: Always keep an eye on your surroundings and avoid distractions such as mobile phones or loud music. Being aware of your environment can help you spot potential dangers early.
    2. Travel in Groups: Whenever possible, travel with friends or family. There is safety in numbers, and traveling in groups can deter potential threats.
    3.  Keep Valuables Hidden: Avoid displaying expensive items like phones, jewelry, or other valuables. Keeping these items out of sight reduces the risk of theft.
    4. Know Your Route: Plan your journey in advance and familiarize yourself with the stops and stations along the way. Knowing your route can help you stay calm and confident during your travels.
    5. Report Suspicious Activity: If you see something unusual or suspicious, do not hesitate to inform the authorities. Reporting such activities can help prevent incidents and keep everyone safe.
