Parkside Studio College Rated Good by Ofsted!
We have now received a final copy of our Ofsted report following the inspection that took place in May 2023. We are delighted to share with parents, guardians and carers that inspectors have confirmed that Parkside Studio College is a ‘Good’ school in all areas!
Inspectors recognised the significant improvements made across the College following previous judgements in 2017 and 2019.
We have worked exceptionally hard to ensure the curriculum is broad and ambitious and it was wonderful for the inspection team to note that ‘pupils follow a curriculum that is matched to their interests’ and that ‘teachers have strong subject knowledge and present information clearly’.
We are a community and we strive to make every pupil feel part of everything we do. Inspectors noted that ‘leaders, teachers and pupils have created a sense of community’, and ‘behaviour and attitudes to learning are positive and pupils show respect for each other and their teachers’.
One of our priorities has been to inspire pupils to be ambitious in their next steps at Post 16. This was recognised as being ‘an ambitious programme of careers education which ensures that pupils benefit from a range of experiences of the world of work, further education and training’.
With reference to safeguarding, inspectors commented that ‘arrangements for safeguarding are effective’ and‘leaders know every pupil very well’. It was also recognised that ‘all staff are well trained and that pupils feel very safe at Parkside’.
Inspectors highlighted that ’leaders have created a calm and orderly school’ and that ‘pupils take pride in their learning and are proud of their school’.
