At Parkside, a new approach to education has been developed to combine high quality classroom learning with practical work related activities both in and beyond the College.
Students who attend Parkside Studio College not only continue to gain qualifications in traditional core subjects, but also become experts in their chosen pathway.

Parents praised the excellent communication, the workshops and the facilities at Parkside. Parkside parents do receive extensive information, including the weekly newsletters, letters, positive phone calls, enrichment week events, Twitter and Facebook, all strengthen the home college links.
Celebrations are key to the Parkside ethos and the year 11 celebration assemblies are well attended and fully celebrated in newsletters and on the website. In addition, the College’s Graduation Ceremony is a major event. Parents are always thanked for their participation, all well evidenced.
In addition to the strengths illustrated in the portfolio the College’s principal strength evidenced at the verification is its’ strong pastoral care and focus on the students’ self esteem and well being. Both welcomed by parents.
Early Closure Thursday and Friday This Week at 2:00pm
UPDATED: WEDNESDAY 24TH JUNE 2026 AT 12:30PM
Due to the continued high temperatures, the college will close early at 2:00pm on both Thursday and Friday. This decision has been made to prioritise the health and wellbeing of our school community during the hottest part of the day. We recognise that this adjustment may present challenges for some families. For parents, guardians and carers who are unable to collect their child at this earlier time, please contact the college, as we will be able to provide appropriate supervision and support. We will continue to monitor weather conditions closely and make any necessary adjustments. The health, safety, and wellbeing of our pupils and students remain our highest priority. To support the comfort and wellbeing of all pupils and students, please continue to adhere to the following measures: Blazers and ties are not required • Pupils and students are encouraged to wear their PE kit • Pupils and students should bring a full water bottle to remain hydrated throughout the day • Pupils and students are advised to apply sun cream before they leave for school.
