  • Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) Programme - Easter Offer

    Bookings for Hillingdon’s Easter Holiday, Activities and Food (HAF) programme have now opened! Through their programme of free healthy food and fun activities, children and young people can develop new skills, take part in creative and physical activities, learn about food and cooking, and enjoy a nutritious meal each day. 

    The holiday programme is open to school-aged children from reception to Year 11 (inclusive) who receive benefits-related free school meals. They are also able to provide a limited number of discretionary places to vulnerable children that do not meet the Free School Meal criteria, if you would like for a child you are supporting to be considered for a HAF place, please email HAFprogramme@hillingdon.gov.uk with the child's name, date of birth, address and parent contact details. 

    Activities this Easter include: 

    • Learn to ride a bike or develop your cycling skills
    • Football, Cricket, Basketball and multi-sports
    • Parent and child cookery sessions 
    • Dance, drama and arts programmes 
    • Multi-activity camps 
    • Remote Control car racing
    • Coding activities 
    • SEND activity camps
    • Specialist music and drama programmes for asylum/refugee children

  • Year 9 and 10 STEM Stixx Even

    On Wednesday 15th March, students in Years 9 and 10 took part in a STEM event as part of British Science Week. The event consisted of various STEM challenges which were delivered by STEM guru Jeremy King! Jeremy is a retired civil engineer who was able to talk about numerous projects that he has worked on over the years, from building his own home to engineering and overseeing the build of hotels, office blocks and even a huge section of the M25.

  • Year 10 Jack Petchey Speakout Workshop

    On Monday 13th March, students in Year 10 at Parkside participated in a one day Jack Petchey Workshop which was led by a Jack Petchey trainer. Students took part in structured, interactive exercises both as individuals and groups to develop their communication skills and expand their comfort zones.

  • Year 8 Taster Sessions at Parkside

    Taster sessions were in full swing at Parkside last week as Year 8 students from Rosedale College and Hewens College joined us for option subject taster sessions. Parkside was buzzing with excitement as students gained an insight into Media, Sport, Hair and Beauty and Health and Social Care! All sessions were led by our Year 9, 10 and 11 students at Parkside. It was a very busy but productive week for all involved.
