Year 10 STEM Club
STEM Club was amazing this week! The session was delivered by Jeremy King, a retired engineer who shares his knowledge of engineering through delivering STEM sessions in schools.
This week, students in Year 10 built CD hover crafts using a balloon and a CD, they discovered that the airflow created by the balloon causes a cushion of moving air between the CD and the surface, which in turn lifts the CD and reduces the friction to allow the CD to hover freely. Students also learned that the Stomp rocket works based on Newton’s third law of motion!! Well done to the STEM students and thank you to Jeremy King.
