We have now received a final copy of our Ofsted report following the inspection that took place in May 2023. We are delighted to share with parents, guardians and carers that inspectors have confirmed that Parkside Studio College is a ‘Good’ school in all areas!
Our students recently took part in an engaging and thought-provoking “Your Life, You Choose” workshop, delivered with the support of SORTED, Youth Justice, Paramedics and the Police. The session provided students with an opportunity to learn about the real-life consequences of the choices they make and how those choices can impact themselves, their families and their wider community. Through honest discussions and practical scenarios, students explored topics including crime, violence, antisocial behaviour, drugs, personal safety and making positive decisions.
A key part of the workshop was hearing directly from professionals who work with young people and respond to the consequences of risky behaviour. The Police and Youth Justice teams shared valuable insights into the legal consequences of offending, while Paramedics explained the realities of dealing with emergencies and the potentially life-changing impact of violence and substance misuse. SORTED also provided guidance and support around making safer and healthier choices.
The workshop encouraged students to think about their future, take responsibility for their decisions and understand that every choice can have consequences. We would like to thank SORTED, Youth Justice, the Police and Paramedics for giving our students such an informative and powerful learning experience.
On Thursday 17th September, Media students at Parkside enjoyed a trip to Sky Studios in Osterley, exploring life in front of and behind the camera. This was a fantastic opportunity for the students to bring their classroom learning to life and develop their creativity, work together and discover potential careers in the Media and production field.
The Year 11 Prom was a fantastic celebration of the end of an important chapter at Parkside. After months of hard work, revision and GCSE examinations, students came together for an unforgettable evening filled with laughter, music and memories. Everyone arrived dressed to impress, with elegant suits, beautiful dresses and plenty of smiles. The venue looked amazing, creating the perfect setting for a well-deserved celebration. Friends enjoyed taking photos together, capturing moments that will be remembered for years to come.
On Wednesday, 20th May, Year 9 students visited London Zoo for a reward trip. From start to finish, the atmosphere was full of excitement, laughter and curiosity as students explored one of the world’s most iconic zoos.
The day was spent discovering incredible animals from around the globe, from majestic lions and playful monkeys to fascinating reptiles and colourful birds. There was plenty of ‘wow’ moments as students got up close to some of their favourite animals, and they learned about conservation along the way.
This week’s whole college assembly was about Vesak, one of the most important festivals in Buddhism. Vesak commemorates the birth, enlightenment and passing of Siddhartha Gautama.
Buddhists around the world celebrate Vesak by visiting temples, lighting candles, meditating, sharing meals and helping those in need. The festival is a time to reflect on important values that can inspire us all in our everyday lives.

Parkside Studio College offers an interactive, hands-on approach to education for students aged 14 to 19, combining academic learning with real-world creative and technical skills.
The theme of our whole college assembly was ‘Respecting all Families.’ The assembly focused on the idea that families can look very different, and that all families deserve respect and understanding. It explained why schools often use the phrase “parents, guardians and carers” instead of just “mum and dad,” recognising that not every child lives in the same type of family.
Year 10 students have recently been developing their baking skills as part of their Life Skills lessons, this week they baked cupcakes. This hands-on experience has been a fantastic way to build confidence, independence, and practical kitchen skills.
On Wednesday 22nd April 2026, Year 9, 10 and 11 students of Parkside Studio College attended a Mental Health Awareness Week assembly delivered by Mr Downes. The session focused on raising awareness, reducing stigma, and encouraging students to look after their wellbeing.
On March 13th, Parkside Studio College celebrated the incredible blend of cultures that make up our college community, all under this year’s theme: Unity in Diversity. It was a day filled with pride, colour and connection.
