British Army Problem-Solving Workshop
The British Army delivered a problem-solving workshop to students at Parkside
On Thursday 17th March, the British Army delivered a problem-solving workshop to students in all year groups.
They were put into groups of ten and were given a bag full of large Meccano-like construction parts. Students had to work collaboratively to make a functional wheelbarrow in half an hour. The barrows were judged by members of the Army based on functionality and sturdiness to travel a five-metre distance! It was interesting to see the different approaches and thought processes taking place amongst the students.
