Supporting A Safe Evacuation for Everyone
New Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP)
At The Rosedale Hewens Academy Trust, the safety and wellbeing of everyone in our community is our top priority. In line with updated guidance, we are introducing a new approach to ensure that individuals who may need assistance during an emergency—such as those with disabilities or temporary mobility challenges—are fully supported.
We have a system in place called a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP). This allows us to work with individuals to create a tailored strategy for safe evacuation in the event of an emergency. You can view the Policy here: Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP) Policy
If you or your child may require assistance, please speak to a member of our Reception Team. They will guide you through the process and ensure a suitable plan is in place. We have trained staff on-site who are ready to help and will be aware of your location while you're in the building.
Our aim is to make sure everyone feels safe and supported. In the unlikely event of an emergency, please follow the instructions given by staff so we can assist you in the safest and most appropriate way.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss a PEEP, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
