Year 11 Talk the Talk Workshop – Jack Petchey

On Friday 16th October 2026, Year 11 students visited Cadbury World in Birmingham as part of an educational trip designed to bring their classroom learning to life. Students were accompanied by Mr Downes and Ms Alao - Arewa.

The visit provided students with an opportunity to explore the history and development of Cadbury, one of the UK’s most recognised chocolate brands. It also helped students gain a deeper understanding of key business concepts covered in the AQA GCSE Business curriculum, including production processes, marketing, branding, business growth and customer satisfaction.

Throughout the visit, students had the opportunity to discover how Cadbury developed from a small business into a globally recognised brand. The experience highlighted the importance of innovation, effective marketing strategies, quality control and maintaining a strong brand identity in a competitive market. The trip also encouraged students to make connections between business theory and real-world practice. By exploring Cadbury’s history, products and customer experience, students were able to appreciate how successful businesses adapt to changing consumer needs while maintaining their reputation.

Parkside Studio College remains committed to providing enriching educational experiences that inspire students and prepare them for future success.
