Good for Girls Trip to ‘The Lift’ in Islington!

On Monday 11th April, the Parkside Good for Girls team attended a workshop at The Lift in Islington. The team set out to pitch their social action project plan to a panel from London Youth to win a £500 funding grant to deliver their chosen project. The workshop was a fantastic opportunity for the students to experience a real-world situation of pitching ideas to a panel of professional judges. The students also took part in a special presenting and public speaking skills workshop delivered by London Youth partners.

Thank you to the Project Leader for organising this amazing event and a huge well done and congratulations to the Good for Girls Team for presenting so professionally and securing the £500 funding to take their project to the next phase. Feedback from the panel of judges was amazing and our girls should be very proud of their achievements today. We look forward to putting this plan in action over the coming term.
