May Enrichment Week at Parkside! 7/06/21
From Monday 24th through to Friday 28th May, students capitalised on the collapse of their normal timetable and engaged in a range of activities throughout Enrichment Week. With Year 11 students attending college to complete work and finalise evidence for their subject folders, Performing Arts students working on their final productions and Hair and Beauty students completing their final observations, it was undoubtedly an enriching week for all!
Participation in enrichment enables students to grow into mature, responsible, successful young people. As such, students in Years 9 and 10 also benefitted from the week’s curriculum-based activities as they attended intervention sessions designed to develop their skills in Hospitality, Health and Social Care and Hair and Beauty. Additionally, to develop their personal and social skills, English as an Additional Language (EAL) intervention sessions were held for those students who are new to the country, and require English intervention. It was wonderful to see students across the College get involved and embrace the opportunity to enhance their skills and prospects!
