Year 9 Virtual Self-Esteem Workshop 1/03/21
On Monday 22nd February, Year 9 students were invited to join a virtual Self-Esteem Workshop, delivered by Brooks Education. Students were given an introduction on self-esteem and what it means. They were then asked to make a list of five important personality traits and qualities they have and were informed about the importance of self-esteem awareness, and the difference between private and public self-awareness.
Students were given a number of scenarios and were asked how they would respond if they were in that situation, to which they contributed to the session with rational perspectives. They were advised on where to access the right support if they are or know someone who is experiencing self-esteem issues.
The session was very interactive and informative and enabled the students to foster a wider understanding of self-esteem and the various ways to boost it.
