Year 11 Online Safety Workshop 15/02/21
On Tuesday 26th January, Brook Education delivered a virtual online safety workshop to students in Year 11. The facilitator provided the students with insight into Brook and their purpose before encouraging them to take part in an interactive quiz based on their understanding of online safety. They engaged in compelling discussions about what they think consent means and how and when it should be used. They were also informed of the consequences of sharing inappropriate content online and were then introduced to the laws surrounding online safety.
The session was very interactive and informative, and encouraged students to deliberate on the various ways they can protect their online presence, and to seek out positive opportunities to explore the support available. Students contributed throughout and commented on how they really enjoyed the session and that they had learnt some interesting facts.
