Year 11 Hospitality Trial Assessment 24/02/20

As the Year 11 Hospitality students move further into their Hospitality and Catering course, it is truly vital that they demonstrate their ability to cook food independently in a safe and hygienic manner. Last week, students were given their first practical assessment as Year 11, in preparation for their upcoming Unit 6 assessment (Planning, Preparing and Finishing Foods). 

Each student had to prepare and plate up a meal in one hour, choosing carefully selected ingredients that would enable them to complete the task within the given time. 

Although the pressure was on, they worked calmly and supported each other in producing some wonderful culinary delights. This was then tasted by staff members, who each expressed their approval with a thumbs up!
