Mentoring Sessions at Parkside 16/09/19
Parkside has been engaging students in weekly Mentoring sessions geared towards uplifting and preparing teenagers for the world of work socially, mentally and emotionally. Students engaged in dramatisation, miming, monologues and discussions while exploring social media, confidence and building self-esteem through self-talk and reflection.
Students explored the pros and cons of becoming strong, motivated and disciplined individuals with focus being placed on employability. They engaged in understanding a ‘work- ready’ character and have now set goals towards becoming this. Students were engaged throughout the duration and shared the impact of the sessions. They found it meaningful and thought it was a great addition to the College’s timetable. Parkside students are getting ready for work, at work.
